A little more about me

A voracious, varied and insatiable reader, I will (mentally) devour any book that happens to take my fancy - no topic is taboo ... although I do have a preference for philosophy and cultural anthropology. Having said (written) that, however, my Mills and Boon, Marian Keyes and Stephen King collections have their special place on the bookshelf as well. Nothing like a bit of escapism!

I'm interested in sharing stories with fellow aspiring writers; the triumphs and struggles that come with the craft. Please feel free to critique my work - I will aim to post at least one new item of my "scribblings" per week.

I leave you with one of my favourite quotes by George Bernard Shaw:

"Life is no brief candle for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."

  1. I used to read your diary and that was pretty good. Does that count as critiquing?
